Murad Hassil is a center for the study and practice of the Sufi tradition as taught by Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan. In keeping with the Sufi tradition, the Center also offers spiritual practices and insights from many paths.

All funds support the work of the Sufi Message. Please give generously. Additionally, we accept donations for maintaining the center and spreading the Sufi Message. Personal Retreats

The practice of enclosure (Khilvat) has always been a part of the mystical Sufi tradtion for the purpose of gaining insight into the language of the heart. The teaching that arises from the experience of divine communication is one that is deeply healing and balancing to the mental, emotional, and physical nature of our being.

A studio living space with kitchen and bathroom is available for short-term personal retreats at $85/day. During a personal retreat, Murshida Rabia gives practices for the entire day and personally assists in those practices morning and evening and supplies one hot, vegetarian meal midday. There are other arrangements available for longer retreats.

Monthly Classes

On-Going Two-year Cherag Training
on first Saturdays from September through May
Monthly classes for mureeds in preparation for ordination as Cherags and also for chaplaincy, pastoral counseling, and hospice work. The material in the two-year program has two aspects:
1. 1 Term: esoteric studies based on the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan and his philosophy of the Unity of Religious Ideals
2. 1 Term: scriptural study: Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and other world religions
You can start at the beginning of either term, but taking this training requires a two-year commitment to complete both terms. (Each term involves 9 months of classes with a summer break and holidays respected.) This training is available for students to attend locally. Resources and arrangements will be available for non-local students to participate.

Esoteric Studies Classes
Spring 2012
Monthly classes for mureeds focusing on esoteric studies based on the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan: Gathas, Githas, Sangathas, and Sangithas.
